Jules Haddock
Author | Founder of the Arts of the Minds Festival
An accomplished conversationalist in mental health education, and Founder of the Arts of the Minds Festival held during National Mental Health Week each year, Jules has an engaging and creative approach in helping communities understand mental illness.
A lover of birds, with gaiety and passion, she has introduced children into an awareness of mental health literacy and action through Chirpee the Anxious Bird book and short play, saying we are never too young to start these lessons centred on positive mental wellbeing.
As a person with lived experiences of mental illness, she has enthusiastically shared her own story in her book, “Finding Faith through Mental illness”, to squash the stigmas and spread the normalisation of mental illness in our communities.
In writing Roger Farty Pants, Jules as a qualified laughing Yoga Instructor, understands the importance of us celebrating our strengths, connecting with others through the reading of this book, and learning to contextualise laughter into life as an important life tool for all ages.
